The Maverick Cookbook Walking Tour is a big success this summer in Santa Fe! Hosted by the Santa Fe School of Cooking, the two-hour tour takes you on a journey through time, introducing the iconic people and places that have contributed to New Mexico’s diverse cuisine, from Billy the Kid and Fred Harvey to Doña Tules, Georgia O’Keeffe and others.
The tour includes stops at the New Mexico Museum of History, the historic La Fonda, the Santa Fe Plaza, 109 E. Palace Ave. and other sites as well as dishes featured in the cookbook.
Recent guests of the tour had this to say: “Wanted you to know how much we enjoyed the tour this afternoon! Lynn Cline was wonderful! The stops along the way were very interesting. We learned so much more about Santa Fe’s history. Noe’s carne adovada and Mark’s empanadas on the plaza were a real treat! Thank you again for another super Santa Fe Cooking School experience!”
